National University of Theatre and Film “I.L. Caragiale”

The National University of Theatre and Film ”I.L. Caragiale” (UNATC) Bucharest is organized into Faculty of Theatre and Faculty of Film. As the only Romanian institution of higher education in this field, UNATC assumes the role of preparing future artists in theatre and film at a high professional level, through its BA, MA and PhD programs. Students are trained by professionals in performing arts, film and related areas thereof – media, multimedia, artistic pedagogy, cultural marketing and management.

Theatre Faculty has a structure of 309 BA degree and 146 MA degree, 73 permanent teachers and 39 in part-time, 81 PhDs and 5 PhD Coordinators. The UNATC Theatre Faculty is member of ELIA. The professors of the Theatre Faculty are also members in various professional organizations, such as UNITER, AICT, UNIMA. Theatre Faculty has 6 Bachelor’s Degrees and 11 Master’s Degrees.

Film Faculty has a structure of 187 BA degree and 84 MA degree, 40 permanent teachers and 43 in part-time, 53 PhDs and 5 PhD Coordinators. The UNATC Film Faculty is member of CILECT and GEECT. Film Faculty has 8 Bachelor’s Degrees and 12 Master’s Degrees, including programs Film Directing, Film Production, Cinematography, Film Editing, Sound Editing, Animation Film, Screenwriting, Film Studies, Documentary Film (English), New Media Design (English), Art of Game Design (English) and Interactive Technologies for Performing and Media Arts (English). UNATC’s Doctoral School 2 Research Directions are: Theatre and Performing Arts and Film and Media.

CINETic is a research department of UNATC IL Caragiale which develops technological research and innovation in the fields of digital interaction and applied neuroscience to performing arts.

The International Center for Research and Education in Innovative Creative Technologies was founded as a department of UNATC “I.L. Caragiale” in 2014. The establishment of CINETic was financed through a POSCCE grant of € 8 million, having as objective the open¬ing of new research centers and developing already existing ones. The grant allowed UNATC to acquire a building for CINETic and provide its six laboratories with state of the art equipment for digital interaction, worth more than € 3.5 million.

Some of the most significant tech systems at CINETic include:

  • CAVE CIN—an automatic virtual environment with immersive stereoscopy projection system on four screens and multiple interaction tools;
  • motion capture system with infrared cameras and facial motion capture system;
  • motion analysis system with high speed video cameras;
  • motion control systems for the control of camera movements in robotic regime;
  • full 3D production flow for cinematography, animation and sets, with Alexa SXT, Red Dragon, with spherical and anamorphic optics;
  • production tools including 3D printing and CNC router;
  • various physiological data collection systems (eye tracking, GSR, ECG, EMG etc.) and high density electroencephalography (EEG) with 256 channels.

CINETic’s mission is to develop knowledge and innovate at interna¬tional level in the fields of performing arts and film, as well as in the fields that lead to their growth and transformation. The knowledge acquired in theatre and film is expanded through research and innova¬tion, within interdisciplinary projects that bring together art, science and technology.

RISEBA” University of Business, Arts and Technology

RISEBA University of Applied Sciences is a university type private higher educational institution fully accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia.

Anthology Management

Anthology Management, although a new company, through its management team has extensive experience in building entrepreneurial ecosystems through mentor trainings, acceleration programs, international entrepreneurship summer schools, fast track business bootcamps and Virtual Incubation programs designed in collaboration with institutions in Greece, Turkey, Armenia, Moldova, Belarus. Anthology Management facilitates entrepreneurial founder exits through mergers and acquisitions targeting the area of SE/NE Europe.

Our aim is to support the entrepreneurial ecosystems in the wider area of SE/NE Europe through mentor trainings, acceleration programs, international entrepreneurship summer schools, fast track business bootcamps and Virtual Incubation programs while facilitating entrepreneurial founder exits through mergers and acquisitions. Our objectives are:

To support startups in developing core business elements like business models and marketing strategy, in order to reach investment readiness or make exits through mergers and acquisitions

To up-skill business mentors to deliver effectively a joint learning experience for the mentees along the following principles: 1) inspiring curiosity 2) challenging assumptions and expectations (giving feedback) 3) guiding through asking probing questions 4) being honest and direct about what he/she doesn’t know 5) being eager to learn, along with the mentee.
